Brianna's "best father ever" to "her boys" Cheavez, shot her in the face
Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Brianna Lee. Early Tuesday morning, police say she was shot at a home on Niagara Street in Greensboro.
"She was outside, and then she came in," he said to the operator. "She's been yelling, she's been shot. She's in the bed. She was just walking on the street, and next thing I know, she comes rushing out to my arms."
Prosecutors say this isn't what happened. They claim this likely didn't happen outside, but in a bedroom.
In the call, you can hear Clapp plead with the operator to give him directions on how to stop Lee's bleeding.
The Greensboro Police Department told WXII this was a case of domestic violence, and prosecutors say a note was found written by Lee, who intended to end her relationship with Clapp.
