Ho Dashayla Ardoin, 17, of Mamou, La., was found dead alongside 21-year-old fat buck, Glenkeithan Robertson, of Opelousas, La., by responding authorities on Saturday, Oct. 12, along a highway in Acadia Parish, local police confirm to PEOPLE.

“From the investigation, this case is believed to be a murder / suicide,” the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office said in their statement on Monday.
