haun Bailey has taken an early lead in the race to become the next London mayor.
The Tory candidate had received 40 per cent of the votes verified and counted by 11.30am today, two-and-a-half hours into the count, Labour’s Sadiq Khan had received 35 per cent. Mr Bailey’s early lead is not unexpected at this stage as counting is progressing quickly in two Tory strongholds.
A total of 16 per cent of the votes in Bexley and Bromley have been counted, plus eight per cent in West Central. These areas are among seven of the London Assembly constituencies due to declare their new assembly member by this evening.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has described the early election results as “very encouraging”.
He said this is because the Government has been focusing on “our priorities, the people’s priorities, and bouncing back from the pandemic as much as we can”.

From what I've seen of their politics, it's kind of like ours when it comes to voting for a Demican or a Republicrat. The word conservative has lost all meaning nowadays no matter what side of the Atlantic you're on.
It's not going to happen anyway, they will steal the election just like they did here. The fact that the totals are already in for conservative areas tells you the same thing is happening there that happened here in November. Even if they win, they loose. When it comes to voting, that's the liberal motto - keep counting until we win.

I can't believe it. Millions of people there, and they can't even put up a white Bernie-type from Labour?
We know the world is messed up when Trump is convicted, Democrats steal the election so a Kenya-born Muslim returns as President, Snowden fled to HK and Russia to escape the U.S. govt, George Zimmerman was put on trial, Colin Kapernick was GQ's Citizen of the Year, and BLM is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
