Council to consider stripping Prince Harry & megan of their Royal Titles after thousands sign petition in protest

Council will debate stripping Meghan Markle, Prince Harry of royal titles: 'Morally wrong'

A council is set to debate the future of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal titles on Thursday, Dec. 19., after a petition calling for their removal received thousands of signatures.

The petition was launched on the Brighton & Hove City Council website by Charles Ross on July 1 and argues that the titles the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received from Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day were "arbitrarily and unfairly acquired" and thus should be omitted.

    The petition writes:
We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to reject the usage of the titles "Duke of Sussex" and "Duchess of Sussex" by the individuals Henry ("Harry") Windsor and Rachel Meghan Markle as morally wrong and disrespectful to the county of East Sussex. As residents of Brighton and Hove we call on Brighton and Hove Council to not refer to these individuals by such titles which we believe to be entirely non democratic and symbolic of the oppression of the general public by the wealthy elite. Neither will Brighton Council invite or entertain these individuals nor afford them any hospitality or courtesies above and beyond that of an ordinary member of the public.

The petition aims to establish a precedent that Brighton and Hove Council will no longer afford official hospitality to those with Royal or aristocratic titles nor make usage of those titles in official documents as these titles are arbitrarily and unfairly acquired.

Almost 4,000 People in Sussex Have Signed a Petition to Strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of Their Royal Titles

According to reports, a council in East Sussex will soon debate on if the couple should lose their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles while visiting the towns of Brighton and Hove.
However, there’s an important caveat to all of this: The council cannot actually take their titles away. That can only be done by the Queen. All this petition can do is ensure they aren’t called the Duke and Duchess while visiting these towns, and instead are simply addressed by their given names.
Still, that isn’t stopping this petition from chugging along. To date, it’s been signed by 3,881 people. Though many people seem to support the measure, Elle reports it has little chance of actually passing a council vote. Others, including Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, founder of the British Monarchists Society, are voicing their displeasure at the petition too.

He had his choice of all the finest pedigreed women in the entire British Empire but decided to go slumming in America. As an American, I detest all monarchies. It's in my blood to do so as well as any socialist, communist etc. form of government. Yet, somehow, I actually feel pity for the Queen on this one. First, while her son is nailing a married woman that looks like something the cat threw up, Dianna goes screwing around with a dune coon until she had to be put down and now this?

What a kick in the gut for the royal fambly.

I see where you are coming, but I feel nothing for them, the royals sat back and did nothing while England (and London especially) go overrun by niggers and muzzies, so yeah.

To be fair the monarchy is more or less a symbol at this point and hold no true power.

Sure, legally they can rule with an iron fist if they choose, the queen can make any law she wants just by declaring it. She doesn't though.

It's more a point of pride, a little outdated and massively over paid, but they know full well they are a dead form of governance. Capitalism and representative democracy won, feudalism is truly dead in the water and if they cause a wave, people won't hesitate to become a republic and take all their wealth and privliage away from them... as socialist as that sounds, it is actually publicly owned already, in a sense

Yep, just like us - but we have even less of an excuse since we live in a Republic.

I know. They still somehow manage to tax the country silly just so they can jet set and live in palaces and for some reason it is still allowed to go on. They serve even less of a purpose now than they did when it was a true monarchy.

I guess that's how England wants it so that's their problem.

It's not just England, it's the UK and the commonwealth.

It's a waste of tax, you are right- money wasted, but it's also a sense of pride.

Maybe not so much in my country, Australia, but we are part of the British Empire, undeniably the greatest empire to have existed and given rights and autonomy over any other.

Like the UK, the queen cam make any law she Likes in my country, but doesn't since we will rebel. We like the monarchy here. It's just who we are. We are moarchists.

Who cares about Harry and Me Again. The UK has bigger problems, niggers, sandniggers, and their smelly cousins.

Sadly, this is Brighton council. One of the most libtarded places in the UK and basically run by communists.

Although on this occasion I could really get behind their suggestion, purely for the shame that Harry has brought upon this great nation and the royal family.

Possibly why the uppity sheboon and half blood prince have decided to stay out of the UK and hide in Canada over the Christmas period.

The royals hate her, the palace staff hate her, her own staff hate her and we the British people hate her too.

I think Harry would have been better off marrying one of his cousins, or his mother, or something like that.

That is still acceptable behavior for royalty, right?
Do not call for black power. Call for human power.
