A man awaiting sentencing after his conviction on several felony charges including rape and his girlfriend are now in jail after they were arrested as part of an alleged plot to murder the Ontario County judge and prosecutor who tried the case.
Alexander H. Kise, 21, of Greece, and Alydia J. Gater, 22, also of Greece, are facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, a class A-1 felony, second-degree conspiracy, a class B felony, and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class D felony, according to New York State Police.
A 16-year-old whose name was not released also was arrested Thursday and faces attempted murder and conspiracy charges.
Sucher said Kise and Gater conspired to hire a third party to kill the judge and assistant district attorney and on April 21, met with an individual in a Victor parking lot to consummate the deal.
That third person was an undercover police officer, who was offered approximately $1,750 worth of Xanax as payment in lieu of money to carry out the plot, Sucher said.
