I don't know if I've mentioned since you joined the site that some years ago, I considered a job down there. The work itself would have been great. Better cost of living, lots more money that would give us a new level of standard of living, and a nice title that was two rungs up the corporate ladder.

Then I started looking at the various neighborhoods and crime rates. How the hell could I relocate my family to something like that? I'd be worried sick about my wife at home, or going out to the grocery store, and I'd be afraid commuting across town and having to stop somewhere for gas. It sounded so bad that we stayed in our NY suburb.
