Lear was known for producing a long list of comedies, such as "Sanford and Son," "Maude," "Good Times" and "The Jeffersons."

While Lear's sitcoms were a ratings success, they also touched on social topics, including racism, homosexuality and war. "All in the Family," which ran from 1971 until 1979, was awarded four Emmys along with a Peabody Award in 1977 and led to six spinoffs.

When ol' Norm wasn't busy making crappy TV shows that ridiculed whitey and worshipped the dindu, he was funding and creating socialist groups to undermine America.


Outside of Hollywood, Lear participated in advocacy – creating People for the American Way in 1981. The group's agenda included "reducing social tension and polarizations, encouraging community participation, fostering understanding among different segments of our society, and increasing the level and quality of public dialogue," according to the website's founding mission statement.

Perfectly stated. If you saw his shows, they all showed niggers as ghetto niggers. He never portrayed them as magic niggers, as others did. Lear's niggers were always worried the welfare check was going to be late, or some other nigger predicament.

I was kid when all of this horseshit was on. Back then there were 3 channels. No cable, so your viewing choices were limited. Lear wanted Americans to hate "bigoted" Archie Bunker, but most Americans agreed with him! Epic fail for Lear. I remember one of the funniest lines on Sanford and Sons, which was a rip-off of a British sitcom, Steptoe and Son, with the title character played by the old guy who eventually played Paul McCartney's grandfather in the movie Hard Days Night. Anyhow the funniest scene was when Lamont, Sanford's shifty nigger son is in court, and Fred is "helping." Fred looks around at the gallery, niggers waiting for their turn in court, and says: "There's enough niggers here to make a Tarzan movie!" Absolutely hilarious. The studio audience laughed and it made it on the show. It's on YouTube now.
