St. Petersburg teen sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder
A 16-year-old boy arrested nearly three years ago on charges that he shot at another boy and committed a robbery was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison.
Le'Genius Wisdom Williams of St. Petersburg, who was 13 then, pleaded guilty to shooting 15-year-old Dinarick Ford three times after the older teen reportedly taunted him. Ford survived.
The shooting happened Aug. 14, 2013. Police at the time said Williams and a small group of teens were on the sidewalk when Ford rode by on a bike. The teens began to argue.
Williams then pulled out a small-caliber gun and fired multiple times at Ford in the 1700 block of 26th Street S, police said.

Man Named Le'Genius Arrested Again For Some Really Dumb Stuff
The 22-year-old Floridian--who has already served prison time for attempted murder and robbery--is back behind bars on an assortment of felony gun and drug charges following his arrest Monday night.
Police allege that Williams struck his girlfriend in the face with a handgun and then fled the St. Petersburg crime scene in a Chevy driven by another man.
Seen above, Williams was booked into the county jail for aggravated domestic battery, drug trafficking, narcotics possession, and weapons offenses. He is being held in lieu of $77,000 bond.
In 2013, when Williams was 13, he was arrested for shooting a 15-year-old boy. He was subsequently sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder (as well as an unrelated robbery charge).
