PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. -- A mother was arrested Thursday night after deputies say she injured multiple hospital staff members with a knife while attempting to remove her baby from a NICU unit in Palm Beach County.

Kendra Deanna Greene is facing multiple charges including:

Aggravated Child Abuse
Battery
Resisting an Officer
2 counts of Aggravated Battery
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the Palms West Hospital after receiving a call about a stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies say they determined Greene entered the hospital's NICU unit and removed her 3-day-old infant from a ventilator.

The sheriff's office says when Greene attempted to leave the hospital with her baby, staff members intervened. That's when Greene took out a knife and caused non-life-threatening injuries to three of the staff members.
