In the morning of October 11, 2019, Deputy Carlisle assisted Deputy Grant on a traffic stop. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Trailblazer, had no registration. Neither of the occupants had identification on them, and their behavior arose suspicions with the deputies. Deputy Carlisle deployed K9 Nala to do a free air sniff around the vehicle, and she alerted on both the driver and passenger doors. The deputies eventually found illegal substances in the vehicle and on the male suspect. During a search at the jail, the female suspect was found to have illegal substances hidden in her person.
The male was charged with Knowingly Driving a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended, Canceled, or Revoked Registration and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. The female was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Crossing Guard Lines with Weapons, Intoxicants, or Drugs without Consent.
