Houston middle school teacher accused of sexually assaulting students

A former Houston ISD middle school teacher is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting at least two of her students, ABC 13's Mycah Hatfield reported Tuesday night.
Destinie Hillsman, 25, was arrested in October 2022 and charged for relationships with two of her Holland Middle School students earlier that year, according to ABC 13's Hatfield.
Hillsman allegedly assaulted the 13-year-old victim repeatedly during the summer of 2022, according to Hatfield. Charging documents state the teacher brought the 13 year old student to the mall, a waterpark and a movie before bringing the student to her home and getting into bed with her.
ABC 13's Hatfield reported that student told police that the encounter then became sexual as Hillsman kissed the student multiple times and touched the student's breast. Authorities allege in charging documents that Hillsman and the student exchanged "I love you" texts during the period when Hillsman was assaulting her, according to Hatfield's reporting.
As reported by Hatfield, charging documents show that Hillsman also exchanged inappropriate sexual texts with her 14-year-old victim. "I really wanna see how sexual you can get but I don't even know if you know," Hillsman allegedly texted the 13-year-old, according to ABC 13's Hatfield. Hillsman told police that "she is not the only one to blame for the relationship, and stated the [student] and her both made a mistake," authorities allege in charging documents.
