An Alabama councilman, who once called a coworker a 'house n*****,' has been arrested for punching a black mayor in the face and hurling racial slurs during a parking lot brawl.

Councilman Thomas Bryant, 78, was caught on security footage hitting Mayor Wayman Newton in front of a crowd of people on Monday evening after a meeting.
