There was the scene where he shot and killed the nigger in trying to rob the convenience store. Jodi Foster's pimp in the movie was originally a nigger but because they worried it would put niggers in a bad light (what else is new) they made the character a white guy.

Driving a cab in NYC made me hate niggers even more!All white NYC cab drivers I’ve ever known hate niggers! Shooting it out with nigger pimps would have been more realistic. After all, 1970s NYC pimps were all niggers!

I try to separate actors from the roles they play, so that I can actually enjoy a bit of escapism now and then. But, DeNiro made such an ass out of himself during the last administration and then I discovered that he is a big-time serial oil driller. I just basically refuse to watch anything he has done, sadly, even "Heat"

I agree, Denigro is a total asshole oil driller, BUT I have too admit he has done some damn fine acting. Heat, Casino, Good Fellas, Godfather 2, to name a few. He plays a great gangster but I bet in real life he's a total pussy.
