Part of the decline of a country is when it starts giving "disability" and "pension" payments to immigrants who'll never pay taxes. And this one turns out to have a lot of money and property, which still doesn't stop it from claiming dungot nuffins.
Rabee Ebady, 48, scammed the Department of Social Services $142,006 in disability, pension, Newstart allowance and rental welfare payments dating back to 2005, Herald Sun reported.
He appealed to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to overturn the department's order to pay back the money due to unemployment and resulting financial hardship.
The tribunal heard Mr Ebady hid more than $1 million in cash and assets from Centrelink.
Mr Ebady was born as 'Rabei' Ebady in Iraq in 1969. In 2000 he changed his name to Robe Mnsor, back to Rabei Ebady in 2006, then to Waiel Kalf Ebady in 2008, and to Rabei Ebady again in 2014 and to Ali Ebady in 2015.
