Marquest Hall, 17, initially faced a murder charge in connection with the 2015 attack outside a McDonald's on Bedford Street in Stamford. He agreed to plead guilty to the reduced charge of intentional manslaughter.
The judge had said he would reluctantly accept the plea deal after prosecutors explained they offered it due to Hall's age and learning disabilities.
Hall was 15 at the time, but prosecutors charged him as an adult.

“Marquest is remorseful and deeply regrets his actions. He knew he must take responsibility for his actions and today was a product of that choice,” O’Neil said after the sentencing. “All he can do now is seek redemption through making positive choices for himself and his family. Based upon the young man I’ve come to know, I am hopeful that will happen.”
Judge Gary White said he hopes Marquest Hall serves every day of his 20-year sentence for the stabbing death of Antonio Muralles on Bedford Street. However, White acknowledged the 17-year-old will be eligible for parole in 12 years because of his age.

When that nigger gets out, the judge should be held responsible for any future crimes. A human with a loving family is dead, and that nigger could get out before it's 30, ready to kill again.
