I recommend clicking the above link and reading those stories from teachers on the front line. It is compelling, riveting reading. Been there, done that in a ~20 percent nigger school. Even at those numbers and at middle school ages, they were a cancer. I remember a Spanish teacher, southern-bred and demur... 20 year+ veteran. End of one particular day she just broke down crying, her body just heaving with sobs proclaiming 'how I hate them!!'. She never said 'nigger' but everyone knew exactly who she was talking about. I was there just a few years on a 'special' certification for hard to fill positions. I had no desire to return and had no regrets leaving. I did pretty well with the beasts, in actuality. Still, they brought down the tenor of the whole class. Like trying to run a marathon with tennis racquets strapped to your feet... Their presence hobbled every class. No teacher was immune, except maybe Gym Class...
