Mohamed Farah, 32, allegedly threatened to assassinate President Joe Biden in January and also said he would assassinate former President Donald Trump if he ran for reelection, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District Of Pennsylvania said in a news release Wednesday.

Farah is a citizen of Somalia, according to the office.

ccording to United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, the indictment alleges that Mohamed Farah, a citizen of Somalia, threatened to assassinate President Biden in January 2022.

The indictment further alleges that Farah threatened to assassinate former President Trump if he runs
for reelection.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Lower Allen Township Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carl D. Marchioli is prosecuting the case.

A Mechanicsburg resident was federally indicted on Wednesday, accused of making death threats against current President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, 32-year-old Mohamed Farah, a citizen of Somalia, made the threats in January.

On the count of “threat against the president,” the indictment states that Farah said he would assassinate the current president and “kill him literally dead.”

On the count of “threat against the former president,” the indictment states that Farah specifically targeted Trump if he should “rerun” for president, adding “I’m going to be at his campaign and dedicate my life to assassinating Trump.”
