Aw great. Among model railroaders, "Weathering" is a very common term. Models, when new, look new. Real trains don't stay shiny for long, usually within hours of first entering service a locomotive will have a light dusting of diesel exhaust on its roof, frames will have dust and grime, and over time caked on grime and rust spots show on engines and cars. Weathering, to a hobbyist, is the art of recreating the effects of age on our models.

This hobby is mostly human besides. How many niggers have the disposable income, the time, the skills, or the patience needed to even set up a toy train on the floor, let alone build a functioning scale model world on plywood?
