He was just a peaceful migrant looking for a better life without persecution when he stabbed 7 people in a store.
Ahamed Aathill Mohamed Samsudeen came to New Zealand in 2011 seeking a new life free from attack and torture. Ten years later, he stabbed five people and injured two others (https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/300384815/man-shot-dead-by-police-six-injured-after-terror-attack-at-aucklands-lynnmall-countdown) in an Isis-inspired terror attack (https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/300399119/man-shot-dead-after-stabbing-at-mall-had-been-sentenced-for-possessing-isis-propaganda). He was shot dead by police bringing an end to months of constant surveillance and years of growing concern over his extremist views.
Surveillance didn't work, I guess. He must have had a mental health crisis.
Police first started investigating him in March 2016....In 2018, Justice Edwin Wylie made a ruling under the Immigration Act 2009, prohibiting the publication of Samsudeen’s identity and status as a refugee due to his concerns about his safety if he was deported.
Yes, because if they had deported him he might not have felt safe enough to go all stabby. Gotta keep fanatical terrorists safe. To hell with the citizens of that country. What are a few stab wounds in comparison to the coddling of invaders?
