Growing up around horses I've seen plenty of let's say "hefty" ladies slide down the back of a horse like they were riding a coal chute when the horses weight scale in their human child size brain registers nuffs enuff as they stand on their hind legs!

Maybe a horses brain can analyze color coding as well ejecting spooks no matter what they weigh.
