Nigdar: 10-year-old wants to do a drive-by with paint guns, homeowner responds with real gunfire

Michael Williams, 26, told Opa-locka police his son begged him to drive by a home where young people were gathered Sunday night so he could fire his paintball out the window, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Williams drove by the home as his son fired off several rounds, police said. The homeowner confused the paintball for real gunfire, telling police he thought his family was being attacked. He fired one shot, which struck the child. The boy then lost his balance and was run over by his father's vehicle, police said.

No additional details on the child's injuries or condition were released. Williams drove the child home and his mother called 911, according to police.

The Miami Herald reports the father was charged with child neglect with great bodily harm. According to a police report, Williams “acted recklessly by agreeing to conduct a drive-by paint ball shooting.”

One Halloween, my fishing buddy Simo, an absolute maniac, is told by his son that he and other kids trick-or-treating, were just shot with paintballs, by some retards who drove by. They were unaware that the way they came in, was the only way out. Simo grabs a wrist rocket, and some half inch lug nuts, sets up by the canal bridge, and waits. Here comes the 'tards, still looking for targets. They spot the kids, but they don't see Simo crouched down, 10 feet away. He lets loose, hitting the driver square in side of the head. The guy floors it, goes over the bridge, smashing the "ground effects" cowl, and bumper, off his Z-28. The kids go wild, then Simo goes home to relax. He calls one of his cop buddies, who informs him that an ambulance just took the guy to the hospital, from the 7-11 parking lot a mile away. He appeared to be "some kind of breed", which around here means not white.
