Bronx Woman Arrested After 7-Month-Old Abandoned at Brooklyn Deli

A woman was arrested Saturday night for allegedly abandoning a baby girl inside a Brooklyn deli Friday evening, a law enforcement source told News 4.
Employees at the Bushwick business near the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue found the 7-month-old girl around 7:30 p.m. and immediately called 911. NYPD officers responded to the scene and took the child to Wyckoff Hospital where she was said to be doing well.
According to police, the woman stepped into the deli with a stroller around 7:30 p.m. and asked to use a bathroom in the back of the business. After checking on the woman, an employee said she bolted from the store, leaving a 7-month-old girl behind.
