America's longest serving NU grad finally gets its degree and gets its freedom. It was involved in a murder spree back in the 1950s and they took the costly option of locking it up instead of making it good. Well, after 68 years of being fed and watered, it finally gets to commit maybe one more crime spree before it ooks off to hell.

Joe Ligon was just 15 when he joined a pack of drunk teenagers on a robbery and assault spree that left two people dead and six others stabbed.

Illiterate and poor, Ligon pled guilty to two counts of first-degree murder, though he long claimed he didn’t take part in the murders. He received a life sentence in 1953.
