The accused was recently arrested for an attack a few weeks after Moranis was punched. In that incident, the suspect allegedly assaulted a 61-year-old standing on a subway platform, the New York Post reported (https://nypost.com/2020/11/14/suspect-in-custody-in-rick-moranis-assault/).


Ventura is also charged in relation to another random attack (https://nypost.com/2020/11/14/suspect-in-custody-in-rick-moranis-assault/) in April, when a young woman on a train was punched in the face.

One of the victims, Glenn Smith,
was also charged with misdemeanor menacing with a weapon, court records show after Davis(his wife) says he picked up the knife Ventura dropped. Prosecutors had offered to drop both charges but Smith says they are pursuing the case
