This is a good question, but the answer is, no one knows -- Barry's passport records are sealed. Obammy was not well-to-do until the late 1990's after Bill Ayers wrote "his" "Dreams..." fable. I can't imagine he could afford to do much traveling before that. It is not inexpensive to travel to Kenya -- we did it in 2006 from the West Coast of the U.S. and as I recall, the airfare alone was almost $10,000 (my in-laws paid for it).

The consensus among Obama researchers is that his first trip to Kenya was in 1987 (some say 1988). He made at least three more trips after that.

Personally, I find his 1981 trip to Pakistan far more problematic than his vanity trips to Kenya.

The only thing I know for sure is that no one -- maybe not even piece-of-shit Hussein himself, knows his true origins story.
