At least according to the Canadian musician Chilly Gonzales, who has lived near the street since 2012 - as the "Express" reports.

I gave up trying to follow anything new in pop music a long time ago, so it's no wonder I'd never heard of him - but I have a son and nobody he knows has ever heard of him either. He fucked off to Germany because he couldn't get traction in the American music industry, then had the unmitigated ingratitude and self-importance to tell his adopted homeland to change a street name because one of their greatest composers had anti-Semitic leanings.

He should be forced watch the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" episode where Larry David hires a band to play Wagner under the window of another Jewish guy because the guy had insulted David for attending a Wagner concert. But sadly that was fiction and the real world is far more insane.
