KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in the Northland are searching for a missing child.


According to Kansas City, Missouri, police, 6-year-old David Dimbiri believed to have left his house unaccompanied around 9:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Northeast 63rd Terrace.

Police said Dimbiri is a 3-foot-tall black male, who weighs about 50 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue heavy coat and dark blue sweatpants.

The extreme cold weather conditions have ramped up search efforts.

KCPD is using a specially trained search dog and specialized drone to aid in the search.
