Off-Duty NYPD Cop Arrested For Stealing Duffle Bag Containing Marijuana

Michael Latimer,31, and his accomplice entered the man’s apartment building in the Allerton section of the Bronx around 3:50 p.m. Thursday. Police say Latimer and the other suspect wore ski masks and bulletproof vests during the robbery. The two men robbed the victim at gunpoint and snatched his watch along with a duffle bag containing marijuana before fleeing the scene.
Latimer worked as an NYPD transit cop for only two years and apparently used his on-duty weapon to threaten the victim during the robbery. Officers also found guns and drugs in his vehicle before the arrest.
