In one of his last official acts, now-former governor Matt Bevin spared the life of a rape-ape sent to death row in a notorious Northern Kentucky murder case.
Groid Gregory Wilson was convicted in 1987 for the kidnapping, rape and murder of Deborah Pooley. Bevin commuted the rape-ape's sentence to life in prison.
Investigators say the groid and its mudshark whore, Brenda Humphrey, grabbed Pooley at knifepoint outside her Covington apartment. The 36-year-old waitress was forced into her own car. While the mudshark drove, the ape raped Pooley in the back seat.
Pooley was strangled and her body dumped naked in a field.
