Savannah Spurlock, 23, was last seen on January 4 leaving a bar in Lexington, Kentucky with three men

Police said she was driven to a rural home 40 miles away in Garrard County

Authorities started searching the property on Wednesday night after receiving a tip about a foul odor

They found the human remains buried on the property just before midnight

Police had searched the home in the days after Spurlock's disappearance

David Sparks, 24, was arrested and charged early Thursday with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence

He is believed to be one of the men last seen with Spurlock and lived at the home where the remains were found
