I think I mentioned once before, the friends of a friend got a temporary visa but were denied permanent residency. The husband and wife had good jobs, the kids were doing great in school, and it still didn't matter. Yet the damned HNIC was the one demanding to let all the asslifters stay, because sending them back supposedly puts them in danger.
