A SHE BOON has been accused of failing to loosen a pit bull puppy’s collar, which led to it becoming embedded in the puppy’s neck.
An arrest warrant said the puppy, named “Dirt,” had to have surgery to remove the collar and will have permanent scarring.
Ceyoshia Antionette Simpson, 26, of the 600 block of Deep Creek Road, was arrested Wednesday by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the warrant said. She faces a felony cruelty to animals charge filed by the Sheriff’s Office, and four misdemeanor charges of cruelty to animals filed by Cumberland County Animal Control.
