University of New Mexico's Black Student Alliance is calling out a sorority, accusing members of making racist comments during a welcoming event for new members.
Stone is talking about comments black students said they heard at a Greek life new members meeting on Monday. They said the comments came from Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority members sitting behind them.
"Essentially, it came down to not feeling safe around black people," said Stone.
In a statement from the BSA, the African American students said they heard KKG members say: "Black people get away from me," and "Black people stop wearing grills."
