A second arrest has been made in a deadly botched robbery in May that left a woman dead.
Eriq Marquess Watlington, 21, is the second Nigger to be charged with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Pamela Crumpton Hooks at a residence in Browns Summit in the evening of May 18.
Watlington has been in jail since July 16 for unrelated charges, according to WGHP-Channel 8. Other charges include assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and two counts of robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons. He remains in jail without bond.
Jonyle Laquan Riddick, 26, was charged with first-degree murder May 25 in Hooks' death.
About 9:30 p.m. on May 18, officers responded to a report of a shooting at a house at 716 Hidden Lake Court in Browns Summit, which is technically within the Greensboro city limits.
Police found Hooks and Riddick with apparent gunshot wounds.
Hooks, one of the homeowners, was taken to a local hospital, where she died from her wound.
Police believe Riddick and Watlington were trying to rob Hooks’ husband at the couple’s house when the intruders and the husband began shooting at one another.
