An out-of state car carrying two African-American males was parked in the lot and a pick-up truck with two white males driving by them hollered at them to "go back to Africa, you f---ing monkeys.”
My life partner is African-American, so perhaps I'm more sensitive in picking up on the subtleties — like placing change on the counter when you just put the change in the white customer's hand 2 minutes ago.
