Columbus police are looking for the person or people who damaged a family's vehicle, slashing the tires and covering much of it with spray paint and racist messaging.
The incident was discovered at a Reynoldsburg home, near Brice Road.
According to Ruth Hawkins, she awoke Sunday morning to find the destruction in her driveway.
"It's very scary to think that somebody was that close to our house with that much hate inside of them," Hawkins said. "You don't know if somebody is willing to take that next step and even break into your house to do something."
Hawkins told NBC4 that she is in an interracial relationship, which she believes made her a target.
"My fiance is from Haiti and there were definitely some racial comments
