Deputies arrested two more suspects connected with a residence with multiple ties to drugs.
On Tuesday March 6, detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded to the residence at 1270 Gheen Road in Salisbury in response to numerous complaints about drug and possible gang activity. The residence is a well-known location for drug activity, law enforcement said.
Detectives responded to a homicide at this residence on Feb. 9. In that incident, 21-year-old Gregory Yarborough was shot to death inside the house. The following day, 22-year-old Taedrin Sanders of Kannapolis, was arrested for this murder.
On March 6, detectives conducted a search of the residence and discovered a small amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Detectives also discovered evidence of on-going drug dealing and evidence of drug use inside this residence, according to a report.
Also present at the residence was Christina Loflin, 31, of Wind Drive in Salisbury. Loflin was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, law enforcement said.
As a result of this search, Norman Blackwell, 68, was charged with felony possession of cocaine; felony conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance; felony maintaining a dwelling to keep, store and sell a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blackwell has lengthy criminal history and was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $7,500 secured bond.
Loflin was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was also placed in jail under a $2,500 secured bond, with parole violation forthcoming.
