Here's the thing you don't see anyone talking about. There IS actually a preference on the part of NFL players to not have to talk to the press. In response to this, a standard player contract stipulates that they DO have to talk to the press, whether they want to or not. They can be fined if they don't. Simply include 'standing for the national anthem' as a condition of employment, and this problem goes away almost instantly, and gives clubs iron-clad power to sanction those who still want to act like niggers.
